The New York Times recently published an article called "A Hotel Boom Comes to Texas" about just that. It's mentioned that of the five cities with the most hotels projected in 2017, three are "in Texas - Dallas, Houston and Austin." C&T Design Houston's Charles Munro had the opportunity to work with Chef Hugo Ortega's latest concept Xochi in the Marriott Marquis Houston. This hotel was the hotbed of Super Bowl action and activities this past February during Super Bowl LI. Although the photos in the article feature the Marriott Renaissance in Plano, Texas, the Marriott Marquis did get a mention about halfway through the article.
